A volunteer from New Zealand, Trevor Sutherland, stands out not only for his help in a children's equestrian sports school in Derhachi, which moved to Chernihiv region, but also for his sense of responsibility toward the Ukrainian people. This experienced blacksmith has been working with horses in various countries for over 30 years but chose Ukraine for his new mission.

Working with horses and rules

Sutherland emphasizes the importance of building mutual understanding and friendship with the animals during training. He highlights that being attentive and sensitive is crucial, as it fosters not only satisfaction from communication but also the transfer of this experience to others.

Support and cooperation

In turn, Trevor helps the school with the maintenance of the horses, their care, and training. The director of the institution emphasizes that she values not only his expert support in working with the animals but also the joint effort to maintain order and care for the school's yard.

The Ukrainian equestrian sports school in Derhachi is under the care of a volunteer from New Zealand who not only assists with the horses but also in conveying important principles of working with these animals to other staff and students of the institution.
