Where Ukrainians Most Frequently Traveled for Vacation in 2025
Ukrainians are actively traveling within the country: in the first nine months of 2025, local budgets received 234.4 million UAH in tourist fees. This is 36% more than last year and one and a half times more than before the full-scale war. OpenDataBot presented a ranking of the regions where Ukrainians most frequently traveled for vacation based on tourist fee volumes.
Tourist Fees Increased Across Ukraine
In the summer season, from July to September, businesses paid 91.7 million UAH — 20% more than in the second quarter. More detailed data can be found in the news source.
Who Generates the Largest Revenue
More than half of the tourist fees (53%) come from large businesses: hotels, sanatoriums, and recreation centers. The remaining 47% (109.2 million UAH) were paid by apartment owners, estates, and small accommodation facilities. Meanwhile, revenues from small businesses increased by 39%, while from large ones — only by 6.5%.

Overall, the activity of Ukrainians in domestic tourism indicates a gradual recovery of the industry — even amidst war and economic challenges.
