Born in North Tyneside and a product of West Ham's academy, Carrick made his senior debut during the 1999/2000 season. After five years with West Ham-including loan spells at Swindon Town and Birmingham City-he spent two seasons at Tottenham Hotspur before joining Manchester United ahead of the 2006/07 campaign. Across more than a decade at Old Trafford, he amassed an impressive trophy collection:

Carrick's Coaching Journey

Carrick began his coaching career as an assistant to Ole Gunnar Solskjær and José Mourinho. In late 2021, he managed three matches as Manchester United's interim head coach, and from 2022 to 2025, he took charge of Middlesbrough. In mid-January 2025, he returned to Manchester, replacing Ruben Amorim on a contract running until the end of the season.

Under Carrick's leadership, Manchester United have seen improved results, securing an early qualification for the Champions League. Since his appointment, the team has played 15 Premier League matches, winning ten and losing just two. In January, Carrick was named Manager of the Month.
