Ministry of Economy reviews 'National Cashback': what new conditions await in 2026
Evaluation of the 'National Cashback' program
The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine is evaluating the 'National Cashback' program to support domestic producers in order to establish new conditions for 2026. The program evaluation is being conducted under the leadership of the head of the department, Oleksiy Sobolev. The main goal of this process is to review the existing program conditions and determine the effectiveness of its implementation.
Currently, 1885 companies have joined the 'National Cashback' program. The program provides for a 10% reimbursement of the cost of goods produced in Ukraine, with a maximum cashback amount of 3000 UAH per month. At the end of November, the government changed the rules for expenditures, allowing funds to be used only for certain categories of services and goods. Currently, these funds can only be spent on:
- utility services
- medications
- books
- postal services
- charity
Oleksiy Sobolev noted: 'As we agreed last year, we are looking at the year the program is launched, evaluating which sectors it works in, in order to establish more accurate program conditions for next year.'
This approach aims to enhance the effectiveness of the program and provide more opportunities to support Ukrainian producers in the future.
The evaluation of the 'National Cashback' program is an important step for the further development of domestic production in Ukraine, as it allows for identifying the strengths and weaknesses of existing support mechanisms. Considering feedback from program participants and adapting the conditions to market needs may increase the level of companies' interest in participation and ensure more efficient use of state resources to support the country's economy.
