The border with Poland will slow down operations: important information for long-haul drivers
According to glavcom.ua: At Krakowiec-Korchow, a slowdown in the crossing operations for trucks from Ukraine is expected from October 15 to December 15, 2025. The reason is preventive maintenance of the weight complexes and the installation of radiation control systems. The State Customs Service advises drivers to choose other crossing points and use a special map to track queues.
"The European Union has started the implementation of a new border control system, collecting biometric data at three crossing points in Ukraine - Shegyni, Solotvyno, and Luzhanka."
A deal has also been reached between Ukraine and Romania: now buses of any capacity can cross the crossing point "Diakivtsi-Rakovets" on the border with Romania.
The Polish side reported a slowdown at Krakowiec-Korchow due to technical works at the crossing, while in Ukraine, a new border control system is already being actively implemented with the European Union. Therefore, drivers and carriers should be prepared for possible delays and look for alternative routes to cross the border.
