The Ministry of Internal Affairs closed 106 car dealerships: for what violations the operations were terminated
Termination of the operations of trading organizations
The Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has temporarily suspended the operations of 106 trading organizations engaged in the sale of cars and spare parts. This decision was made as a result of inspections conducted since the beginning of 2025, as part of the control over compliance with the requirements of Cabinet Resolution No. 1200.
The main reason for the closures was the lack of signage and information about the operating hours in several car dealerships. In addition, some of them signed contracts outside their trading premises, which is a violation of established norms. Deficiencies in accounting and documentation practices were also noted, undermining trust in these organizations.
Measures to punish drivers
As part of enhancing control, the police also plan to adopt new measures to punish drivers who systematically violate traffic rules. In particular, it is proposed to introduce a 'third level' of responsibility for those who violate traffic rules for the third time. These steps aim to increase safety on the roads and ensure compliance with legislation in the field of automotive circulation.
These measures reflect the growing attention of the state to controlling the automotive business market and road safety. Increasing responsibility for drivers, as well as closing unscrupulous car dealerships, may contribute to reducing violations in this area. However, the effectiveness of these initiatives will depend on their implementation and the willingness of market participants to adhere to established norms.
