Ukraine's Foreign Ministry Showcases Latest Military Hardware to Diplomats
Exhibition of Ukrainian Armaments Unveiled
According to МЗС: On April 13, Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs inaugurated an updated exhibition of Ukrainian armaments, drones, and military hardware to mark the Day of the Worker of the Defense-Industrial Complex of Ukraine. The event was attended by high-ranking officials, members of the diplomatic corps, as well as domestic and foreign manufacturers. This display highlights Ukraine's growing role as a developer and producer of advanced military technology.
The exhibition featured a diverse array of Ukrainian defense products, including:
- The Neptune cruise missile
- The Areion rocket-drone
- The Magura V7 naval drone
- The Stugna-M anti-tank missile system
- The Corsar light anti-tank missile system
- The FP-5 Flamingo cruise missile
- The Bulava strike loitering munition (UAV)
- Interceptor drones: Sting, P1-SUN, and OCTOPUS
- Ground robotic complexes: Ratel M, Lyut, and TerMIT
- Unmanned aerial vehicles: Buntar, Hor, Sichen, SOVA-15o, Gorobets, Linza 3.0, and Vampire
- The Mirazh electronic warfare station
Statements from Senior Officials
During the event, Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andrii Sybiha, stated:
“Every model presented here serves as an argument in favor of the fact that Ukraine is already developing modern technological solutions today. These solutions work not only to defend Ukraine but also prove their effectiveness on a global level, particularly in the Gulf region.”
Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Ivan Havryliuk, emphasized that “for the Ministry of Defense, the development of Ukrainian manufacturing is a practical priority. This is about solutions that quickly adapt to the needs of the front line, are promptly improved, and yield results in combat application.”
It is also worth noting that, according to available estimates, Ukraine produces more than half of the weapons used on the front line. The country's defense industry is a vital economic sector, employing over 400,000 people. Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, David Aroian, declared:
“For the fifth year now, our defense-industrial complex has been forming the foundation of our defense capability. Under daily shelling, under constant pressure.”
The General Director of the Joint Stock Company Ukrainian Defense Industry, Herman Smetanin, stressed that “Today we are talking about a large production system that combines the state and private sectors, technology, engineering, rapid scaling, and cooperation with partners.” In turn, the Executive Director of the Ukrainian League of Defense Enterprises, Ihor Fedirko, noted that “the Ukrainian defense industry has proven its ability to rapidly create, improve, and scale solutions for modern warfare, and has formed an integrated production ecosystem whose effectiveness is confirmed on the battlefield.”
