Queues at the border with Poland: when is it best to travel

The Border Service of Ukraine predicts that on Christmas and New Year days, a temporary decrease in traffic intensity may occur. A stable decrease in passenger traffic is expected after the first week of January.

To reduce waiting times, border guards advise:

  • choosing less congested crossing points;

  • to plan crossing the border during early morning or late evening hours.

Current information about the state of queues can be tracked through the official resources of the State Border Service, the pages of regional units in social networks, the website of the border service Straż Graniczna, and the online map of the State Customs Service of Ukraine.

We remind Ukrainians planning a trip to Poland that starting from October 27, there may be complications at the border. At some crossing points, queues are expected due to the introduction of a new European entry and exit control system.
