Epidemic of streptoderma in Luhansk region: occupiers ignore children's illness
According to glavcom.ua: An infectious disease - streptoderma - is rapidly spreading in the occupied territories of Luhansk region. Students in the city of Alchevsk have been infected in large numbers, but the local authorities are ignoring the danger. The highest number of cases has been recorded at school No. 9, where more than half of the students in some classes have fallen ill. The problem is spreading to other educational institutions, indicating serious problems in the system.
The local administration is taking no measures to prevent the spread of the disease: no quarantine restrictions, no transition to distance learning, or introduction of limits. Parents are also receiving threats regarding possible issues with their children's grading if they miss classes.
Threats to population safety and inaction of the authorities
- Lack of quarantine;
- Inability to switch to distance learning;
- Threats to parents regarding children's grading.
This creates serious pressure on families who have to send their children to schools, which in turn contributes to the spread of the infection. Appeals from local residents to the occupying medical institutions remain unanswered. The absence of sanitary control and proper medical supervision confirms the inability of the occupying authorities to ensure the basic health protection of the population. The Center for National Resistance emphasizes that such inaction is a systemic failure of the medical system in the occupied territories.
Forced mobilization and social services
In the occupied territories, social services are being used for repression against local children. In Henichesk, the 'commission for juvenile affairs' is being repurposed into a punitive body that sends teenagers to labor camps under the guise of 'patriotic education'.
In other occupied areas, local residents are being attached to clinics under Russian medical insurance policies, and in Zaporizhzhia region, efforts are being made to legalize forced mobilization of residents. Russia has introduced a law that allows conscripting residents into the military for a year, and this measure is being extended to the occupied areas of Ukraine.
In the occupied areas of Luhansk region, an epidemic of streptoderma is spreading, but local authorities are taking no measures to prevent the spread of the disease. The inaction of the occupying administration poses serious threats to the health of the population, and also contributes to the implementation of repressive measures and forced mobilization. This situation indicates systemic problems in the medical system of the occupied territories.
