New stops in Moldova
According to the company's official announcement, train No. 99/100 Kyiv-Bucharest now passes through three Moldovan cities where passengers can embark and disembark:
Ungheni
Bălți-Oraș
Ocnița
The train also crosses the border at the cities of Vălcineț and Ungheni, where border control is conducted.
«When planning your trip, consider the time needed for the checks. Passengers from non-EU countries need a transit visa to pass through Moldova. For Ukrainians-no,» the statement from Ukrzaliznytsia noted.

How to purchase tickets
Tickets for the updated route can be purchased in several ways:
through the official website of Ukrzaliznytsia;
in the mobile app;
or at railway ticket offices.
The expansion of the route allows passengers from northern and central regions of Ukraine to reach Moldova and Romania more conveniently without transfers.
The international flight Kyiv-Bucharest resumed in 2023 after a break caused by the war. The connection has stable demand among travelers heading to Europe by train. The addition of Moldovan stops is yet another step towards developing cross-border railway infrastructure that Ukraine is gradually restoring and expanding after the full-scale invasion.
