In Transcarpathia, bodies of two tourists found: details of the tragedy
Over the weekend, rescuers in Transcarpathia received a report from colleagues in the Ivano-Frankivsk region about the discovery of the bodies of two men in mountainous terrain near Lake Brebeneskul on the slopes of Mount Gutin Tomnatyk in the Rakhiv district.
Specialists from various mountain search and rescue units were involved in the transportation of the deceased, successfully evacuating the bodies and delivering them to the village of Vydrychka, where they were handed over to the city morgue staff.
The deceased were two men, aged 41 and 36, from the Vinnytsia region. The causes of the tragedy are currently unknown, but rescuers urge careful planning of mountain routes, checking weather conditions, and promptly informing rescuers about routes to avoid similar incidents in the future.
Additionally, a 26-year-old tourist died in the mountains of Transcarpathia. During a hike, he sustained injuries in mountainous terrain near the village of Krugly on the Rakhiv region.
These tragic events remind us of the importance of following safety measures when heading into the mountains, carefully planning routes, and being prepared for possible dangers.
