Security at bus stops in Zaporizhzhia will be strengthened due to FPV drone attacks
In the Zaporizhzhia region, preparations are underway to enhance the protection of public places due to the increase in the number of attacks by Russian FPV drones. In two communities, anti-drone nets are planned to be installed near bus stops and administrative buildings, as well as mobile shelters for civilians.
This was reported by the Zaporizhzhia District State Administration.

The mentioned communities are Stepne and Novooleksandrivka, where work on enhancing security is set to begin shortly. Protective structures are planned to be mounted near public transport stops and administrative buildings.
In addition to anti-drone nets, the simplest mobile shelters will be set up in places of crowd gatherings. They are expected to reduce the risk of injury from debris during attacks.
The Zaporizhzhia District State Administration explained that the decision was made after Russian troops began to intentionally target buses and minibuses with FPV drones more frequently in recent weeks.
«In recent weeks, there have been more cases where the enemy intentionally attacks buses and minibuses using FPV drones. To ensure the safety of people from enemy strikes, a comprehensive decision was made to enhance security,» the administration noted.

Currently, community leaders are determining the necessary amount of materials and allocating funding for the project's implementation. After the completion of preparatory work, protective structures are promised to be installed within the shortest possible time.
The work will continue ongoing security enhancement measures that are already being implemented in the Zaporizhzhia region. Earlier, members of the Zaporizhzhia City Council supported the allocation of over 8 million UAH for the installation of anti-drone nets due to increased Russian attacks.
Moreover, in Zaporizhzhia itself, additional anti-drone protection at public transport stops has already begun. The first structures were installed at the terminal stops in the Kosmichny and Pivdenny neighborhoods.
Let us remind you, on June 29, Russian troops struck twice with a drone on the building of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration (ODA).
