According to glavcom.ua: The people's deputy of Ukraine from the 'Servant of the People' party and honorary president of the Strongman Federation of Ukraine Vasily Virastyuk shared his thoughts on his position regarding the vote on the bill on the powers of NABU and SAP. According to a comment for Tribuna.com, Virastyuk emphasized that he has no relationships with NABU and SAP and that it is important for him that corrupt officials are prosecuted in accordance with Ukrainian law.

"Do not oppose NABU and SAP, it is not necessary to consider this in the context that we annulled them, voted against them. Even if they have cases against corrupt officials, it is important that they are brought to court. The current bill that I voted for is aimed at this," Virastyuk explained.

He also expressed his doubts about the sincerity of the protests that occurred after the vote on the scandalous bill.

"I believe it was fueled by certain political forces that benefited from it. I do not know who exactly, but you can guess," the deputy added.

In July, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a bill limiting the powers of NABU and SAP, but subsequently, amendments were made. President Zelensky agreed to the text of the law, which should ensure the independence of anti-corruption agencies. A bill was also adopted on polygraph tests for law enforcement officials who have access to state secrets.

Thus, after several votes and changes in legislation regarding NABU and SAP, a mechanism is being created to combat corruption and ensure the independence of anti-corruption agencies in Ukraine.

The article with the vivid quote from Vasily Virastyuk reflects his position regarding the reform of NABU and SAP, as well as the independence of anti-corruption agencies in Ukraine. The news also noted changes in legislation aimed at combating corruption and improving the work of anti-corruption agencies.
