New EES system at the border with Poland: expect delays
Everyone planning to cross the border at these points must preregister at the self-service terminal or with a border guard. For children under 12 years old, biometric data is not required, but during subsequent entries, it will be compared with the already available information in the Schengen Area.
The State Customs Service has warned citizens about the possibility of delays at the 'Yahodyn - Dorohusk' and 'Ustyluh - Zosin' checkpoints due to the implementation of the digital Entry/Exit System (EES) for the Schengen Area.
Although the implementation of the new system may lead to longer processing times, customs authorities recommend planning trips with an appropriate time buffer or choosing other crossing points to avoid unforeseen delays.
