Ukrainian Record Set by Odessa Siblings: Four- and Seven-Year-Olds Hold Plank for an Hour
Duloglo Children's Record in Odessa
According to Главком: Siblings Milana and David Duloglo from Odessa have set a new Ukrainian record by holding a plank position for 60 minutes and 3 seconds. This feat, officially certified by representatives of Ukraine's National Register of Records, marks their second national record in 2023, following their earlier squatting record. The plank is a demanding core strength exercise that challenges even adult athletes.
Seven-year-old Milana and her four-year-old brother David prepared for this attempt for about a month. Milana has been involved in sports since the age of three, including boxing, which has undoubtedly helped build her endurance and strength. David began his athletic training at just two and a half years old.
Previous Achievements
Earlier this year, the children set their first record with a non-stop squatting challenge. David completed 1,150 squats in 1 hour and 5 minutes, while Milana performed 1,177 squats in 38 minutes. Notably, David became the youngest child to complete such a continuous squatting series.
"In Odessa, a children's conspiracy against gravity and fatigue took place! Even the stopwatch couldn't believe its numbers! Our record holders, Milana and David Duloglo, set their second record by holding a plank for 60 minutes and 3 seconds. During the attempt, it became clear this was a true team effort!"

She added: 'One child was the mirror of the other. They weren't competing to see 'who lasts longer'; they held on 'because we are together.' When it got tough, they felt each other's support: the brother's determination gave strength to his sister and vice versa. Sixty minutes of battling their own fatigue and three seconds to put a final mark on this incredible synchrony.'
The children's mother, Svitlana Duloglo, shared: 'Milana has been doing sports since she was three, David probably since two and a half. David saw Milana training and tried to copy her movements. Our children love sports. They are very determined and take after their father, who, although not a professional athlete, absolutely adores sports.'
Thus, the Duloglo children continue to inspire with their example and achievements, demonstrating that perseverance and mutual support can lead to astounding results. Their accomplishments highlight the importance of sport and physical activity for the younger generation and can serve as an example for other children seeking to develop and reach new heights. Such events help promote a healthy lifestyle in society.
