Heating across Ukraine will be restored in 10 days: what this will change for the energy system
According to hvylya.net: Centralized heating throughout Ukraine is to be restored within the next 10 days, which will reduce the load on the energy system. The head of the board of NEC 'Ukrenergo' Vitaliy Zaychenko stated this during the telethon 'Unified News'.
'We hope that in the near future, well, within 10 days, heating will be provided across the territory of Ukraine, and this will lead to a decrease in electricity consumption:', - noted Zaychenko.
According to him, the restoration of heating is a key factor for stabilizing the situation. Currently, two main factors affect the energy system. First, the weather: due to the cold snap, electricity consumption has increased by 20% compared to the beginning of the month. Secondly, the lack of central heating forces citizens to use electrical appliances for heating.
'Now many consumers are heating themselves using electricity - those are air conditioners and heaters:', - explained the head of 'Ukrenergo'.
It is also worth mentioning the blackout in Chernihiv, where Russian drones are hindering repair work at energy facilities.
The National Energy Company 'Ukrenergo' continues to work on restoring centralized heating in Ukraine, hoping to reduce the load on the energy system and ease conditions for citizens during the cold season. Now the focus is on working over the next 10 days to ensure heating throughout the country and reduce electricity consumption.
