According to glavcom.ua: Who is Edward Kawa? Edward Kawa was born on April 17, 1978, in Mostyska in Lviv region. He entered the Order of Friars Minor Conventual in 1996. After his appointment as auxiliary bishop of the Lviv archdiocese, he received episcopal ordination on June 21, 2017.
The government of Pope Leo XIV has appointed a new ruling bishop for the Kamianets-Podilskyi diocese of the Roman Catholic Church in Ukraine. Edward Kawa succeeded Bishop Leon Dubravskyi, who led this diocese since 2002. Bishop Edward was previously an auxiliary bishop of the Lviv archdiocese.
