Pavel Durov violates the law in Kazakhstan: swimming in a nature reserve and a fine
Pavel Durov, the founder of Telegram, went for a swim in a prohibited lake in a national nature reserve in Kazakhstan. After that, he posted a video of his swim on his Telegram channel, where he shared his impressions of the pleasant view of the snowy mountains and ethnic music. Such a minor violation of the rules could result in a fine for him.
«This is an administrative offense; the violator faces a fine. Swimming is prohibited for everyone here. There are park employees who patrol the territory on horseback at the average lake. But they cannot be on the spot all the time, so they might not have seen it,» representatives of the park administration explained.
The Kolsai Lakes are part of the national nature park, so violating the rules here has consequences according to the legislation.
Prospects for cooperation in the IT sector with Kazakhstan
In October, Pavel Durov held important meetings in Kazakhstan, visiting a school for children and launching the Telegram AI laboratory. He also met with the President of Kazakhstan to discuss cooperation in education, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. These steps could contribute to the development of the information sector and the digital society in the country.
