Now, every three months, apartment owners must undergo mandatory checks of water meters. The main goal of these changes is to ensure the accuracy of consumption data and to guarantee the functionality of the accounting devices.

Inspections are necessary to control the correctness of indicators and the technical condition of the meters

Notifications about the inspection will be sent in advance, personally for signing, by registered letter, or via SMS. In case the consumer is not present at the designated time, they must agree on another inspection date with representatives of the utility company within three days of receiving the notification.

After the transitional period, utility services will resume inspections in full volume. In the case of unjustified denial of access, the consumer may face both fines and increased water bills. Experts advise residents not to ignore official notifications and to agree on the times of the inspectors' visits to avoid additional costs.
