EU Allocates 3.5 Million Euros to Ukraine: What Will Change with the New Labor Code

Європейський Союз виділяє 3.5 мільйона євро для підтримки України: нові зміни у трудовому законодавстві.

The European Union is investing 3.5 million euros in a project for employment in Ukraine, implemented by the International Labour Organization. The funding agreement was signed by the EU Ambassador to Ukraine, Katarina Maternova, and the Director of the International Labour Organization in Ukraine, Aida Lindmaier.

Reforms in the Ukrainian Labor Market

The initiative aims at implementing reforms in the Ukrainian labor market, including amendments to the Labor Code to align with EU acquis and international standards. It is also planned to activate the National Tripartite Social and Economic Council, develop a new National Employment Strategy, and support the alignment of Ukraine's legislation with European labor standards.

The European Union supports Ukraine in carrying out labor market reforms by facilitating the modernization of legislation and ensuring compliance with European norms and standards.
