Police Refute Claims of New Security Protocol
According to Главком: The National Police's main office in the Lviv region has officially denied rumors about implementing a new security access system in the city's schools. In light of recent events, police stressed that no changes to the organization of security for the educational process have been initiated. This denial comes amid heightened public concern following a major security incident.
Recall that on February 22, Lviv experienced a series of nighttime explosions, which authorities have classified as a premeditated terrorist attack. This incident resulted in the death of a 23-year-old police officer, with the number of injured reaching over twenty people. Investigators have already launched criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 258 of Ukraine's Criminal Code, which pertains to terrorism.
Existing Security Measures in Educational Institutions
Educational safety officers continue their work in Lviv's schools. Law enforcement is also reviewing surveillance camera footage and interviewing witnesses to the events. A special plan for searching and detaining persons involved in the explosions has been enacted to ensure security in the city and region. The Lviv Regional Police maintain constant contact with the relevant services of the Lviv City Council and the Lviv Regional Military (State) Administration.
