According to ХВИЛЯ: PrivatBank reported on the spending of Ukrainians who receive state assistance under the 'Winter Support' program. The bank's clients received over 8 billion hryvnias in assistance, of which 85% is spent on utility payments. This indicates that most recipients of financial support use the funds to cover housing and communal service costs.
Moreover, over 5% of the received assistance is spent by Ukrainians on medication and medical supplies, highlighting the importance of medical support during this challenging time. Almost 2.5% is spent on purchasing books, which may indicate a demand for educational and developmental materials.
It is also worth noting that the bank's clients transferred over 63 million hryvnias to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine and charity initiatives, confirming the active social stance of Ukrainians.
Use of Digital Cards and Support Programs
More than 8 million Ukrainians use the 'National Cashback' digital cards. The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine is reviewing the 'National Cashback' program for 2026, which may impact further financial initiatives in the country.
The obtained data confirms that the state's financial support significantly influences the daily lives of Ukrainians, especially in conditions of economic instability. The consumer habits revealed in these expenditures underscore the urgency of meeting housing and communal needs as well as medical assistance.
