In Vinnytsia, the court sentenced a 27-year-old school graduate who organized a drug laboratory in his own home. The man, a former winner of chemistry olympiads, manufactured and sold drugs through Telegram, bringing in a monthly income of over 500 thousand hryvnias.
In March 2025, the police uncovered the laboratory and found significant supplies of drugs and chemicals. It turned out that the man had a chemical education and was known as a participant in chemistry olympiads. Admitting his guilt, he expressed a desire to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which influenced the lighter conditions of his punishment.
In court, the man confessed to his guilt and expressed his intention to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The court considered his repentance and desire to serve in the military as mitigating circumstances.
The convicted person received 9 years in prison with confiscation of property. Also, the Security Service of Ukraine eliminated a drug gang in Kyiv region, organized by a former chemistry teacher who manufactured drugs.
A school graduate from a Ukrainian city was found to have a drug laboratory to upgrade his criminal materials. He produced and sold drugs using his knowledge of chemistry, but ultimately was caught by law enforcement. His partner in crime, a former teacher, also did not go unnoticed and was arrested.
