Russia transfers troops from Sumy region to the south: what is happening at the front
In the Sumy direction, border guards recorded a noticeable reduction in the intensity of attacks by Russian troops. The occupiers are transferring their forces to other sections of the front, particularly to the south. This was reported by the spokesperson of the State Border Guard Service Andriy Demchenko during a telethon, as reported by 'Hlavkom'.
'Our units in the Khotyn and Yunakivka communities have noted that the number of attacks or actions of the enemy has significantly decreased compared to the initial period when the opponent tried to advance deeper into the territory of Ukraine,' the statement said.
According to the spokesperson, the units that were concentrated in this section are gradually being withdrawn by the Russians and redeployed towards the southern regions.
Recently, Ukrainian forces continued their offensive in the North-Slobozhansky direction, advancing up to 2.5 kilometers. At the same time, they are keeping key logistical routes of the enemy under fire control. The head of the State Border Guard Service, Serhiy Deyneko, visited the positions of the Sumy border detachment and the Steel Border brigade, emphasizing the resilience and courage of the fighters in their confrontation with the occupiers.
