Ukrainians in Germany are increasingly successful in finding jobs - this is confirmed by data from the German Federal Institute for Demographic Research. Over the past three years, the percentage of Ukrainians of working age who have found employment in the country has tripled: now 51% of refugees are employed, which is a remarkable achievement compared to only 16% in 2022.

'Many have managed to find work thanks to language and integration programs,' said the head of the research, Andreas Ette.

It is noticeable that along with the increase in the number of Ukrainians who have found jobs, their satisfaction with their work is also rising. Surveys showed that among Ukrainian refugees under 50, the feeling of job satisfaction significantly increased - from 87% in 2023 to 94% today.

When it comes to the personal lives of Ukrainians in Germany, it turns out that 29% of women who arrived without their husbands no longer have relationships with their previous partners. Also, most Ukrainian women, even though they plan to stay in Germany for only a few years, have partners who wish to reside here permanently.

However, according to a quarter of the children and adolescents of Ukrainian refugees, they do not plan to stay in Germany, even if that is the desire of their parents. A highlighted issue is also the lack of close connection with the German school system.
