Amazon will replace 600 thousand employees with robots by 2033

The company Amazon plans to replace over half a million employees with robots. According to their forecasts, by 2033, more than 600 thousand employees will be replaced by automated robots, which will be possible thanks to the automation of 75% of all operations in the company’s warehouses.

Amazon plans to eliminate 160 thousand jobs in the USA by 2027. This will allow the company to save about 30 cents on each product, and thanks to automation, significant economic benefits are expected.

In addition, Amazon is already actively working on improving its image in light of the upcoming changes. The company participates in community projects and uses terms like 'advanced technologies' and 'cobots' to describe robots that collaborate with humans.
