Russians are mass shelling Sumy region: there are dead and wounded
Russian troops continue to terrorize the Sumy region - since night, the area has been under massive strikes. This was reported by the head of the regional military administration Oleg Grygorov, as reported by 'Glavcom'.
The Russian army is attacking local communities with dozens of strike drones and guided aerial bombs. According to Grygorov, Ukrainian forces were able to destroy some of the enemy drones; however, the enemy continues to actively use them again.
The communities of Stepna, Sumy, Bilopillia, Velykopysarivka, Komyshanska, and Mykolaivka have come under fire. As a result of the attacks, three people died: a 40-year-old man in the Mykolaiv community, a 65-year-old in Velykopysarivka, and a 66-year-old in Bilopillia.
New Attacks
The terror continues - around 00:20 on October 9, a series of explosions were heard in Sumy, as reported by city mayor Oleksandr Lysenko. Enemy strikes also caused destruction and damage to civilian infrastructure.
Earlier in the night of October 7, the Russian occupation army attacked Kharkiv with drones. The city’s mayor Ihor Terekhov wrote that the Industrial district of Kharkiv was under attack. A fire occurred at the site of the impact. No reports of casualties have been received so far.
