According to glavcom.ua: The Rosneft oil refinery in Russia has stopped operations after an attack. The Kuibyshev oil refinery (NPP) in the Samara region, owned by Rosneft, ceased oil processing on August 28 following the attack, reports Glavkom citing Reuters.

According to the publication, two primary processing units - ELD-4 and ELD-5, each with a capacity of 70,000 barrels per day, were damaged, along with some secondary units.

As reported, on the night of August 28, the Afipsky refinery in the Krasnodar region and the Kuibyshev refinery in the Samara region were attacked in Russia. This is reported by Glavkom citing Exilenova+.

The total capacity of the Kuibyshev refinery is 7 million tons per year. The plant resumed operations a week ago after repairs, but has stopped again due to the attack.

It is also worth noting that Ukrainian drones have caused significant damage by attacking large oil refineries in various regions of Russia, including Samara, Syzran, and Volgograd.

After the attack on the Kuibyshev oil refinery in Russia, owned by Rosneft, the plant's operations were halted. Damaged units are being restored, and losses are being assessed. It is important to consider that such incidents can have serious consequences for the energy sector and the country's economy.
