Ukrainians in Spain face fines of up to 2000 euros: a prohibited beach habit
According to hvylya.net: Ukrainians in Spain have been warned: don't rush to vape on local beaches if you don't want to get fined. Although the use of e-cigarettes is allowed in the country, many municipalities set their own restrictions, violations of which can cost between 30 and 2000 euros.
Some places, such as Barcelona and the Canary Islands, have even completely banned the use of vapes on beaches, imposing fines for violators. Civil activists explain: most tourists simply do not know about such rules and risk getting into trouble.
Experts state that it is necessary to consider local restrictions, as beaches in Spain have their own rules that are important to follow. Ignorance of the law does not save from fines
Local authorities emphasize that the restrictions were introduced to protect people from harmful substances in tobacco smoke, as well as to reduce beach pollution from disposable cartridges
So, if you decide to relax on the Spanish coast, it's better to take a look at the signs and avoid vaping, as violations of the rules may result in a fine. It's best to ask locals where exactly you can smoke and not risk your finances due to ignorance of local nuances.
