The Ministry of Internal Affairs warned drivers about a new wave of fraud with medical certificates

Trap for driver's licenses: Fraudsters in action
Міністерство внутрішніх справ попереджає про нові шахрайські схеми, пов'язані з медичними довідками для водіїв.

Ukrainian drivers have been warned about the possibility of fraud - fake offers to purchase medical certificates have appeared online. This information was made public by the Main Department of the Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Drivers are warned about the increase in cases of fraud, where criminals offer to purchase medical certificates to obtain driver's licenses without a real medical examination.

Fraudsters' methods

Fake offers spread through social networks, messengers, and dubious web resources. Fraudsters create counterfeit websites that imitate the official portals of government institutions and medical establishments. After paying for the 'services' and providing personal data, citizens risk becoming victims of personal information theft.

Fraud incidents are regularly detected. Recently in Lviv, during an exam, a TSC employee discovered a counterfeit medical certificate in a citizen born in 2005.

Consequences for offenders

Using counterfeit certificates can lead to fines, arrest, or imprisonment. Such practices carry serious legal responsibility.

How to avoid fraud

  • Only contact licensed medical institutions;
  • Do not provide personal data to strangers or dubious websites;
  • Ignore advertisements for 'quick' certificates on social networks;
  • In case of encountering fraud, contact cyberpolice.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs warns about the spread of fake medical certificates for drivers through the Internet. This can lead to serious consequences, such as fines or arrest, so drivers are urged to be cautious, check the authenticity of documents, and only contact official institutions.
