Sergiy Datsyuk on the Total Reality of War: How It Changes Society and the Economy
Interview with Sergiy Datsyuk: The Formation of the Information Reality of War
According to ХВИЛЯ: Philosopher Sergiy Datsyuk gave an interview to Yuriy Romanenko, in which he discussed the formation of a total information reality of war in Ukraine, as well as its consequences for society, the economy, and legal aspects of territorial return. Datsyuk emphasized that in wartime, a propaganda reality emerges that becomes an integral part of every Ukrainian's life.
'So you have a total information propaganda reality that you cannot avoid. You cannot block your ears if you simply do not watch telethons.' - Sergiy Datsyuk
During the interview, Datsyuk also drew attention to issues related to life in the rear and its realities. He noted that if society lives as if on the frontline, it will negatively affect the ability to support the front.
'Now the frost has come and everyone says: 'Well, live as if on the frontline'. Guys, if we live as if on the frontline, we will not be able to supply the front,' - Sergiy Datsyuk
Datsyuk added that peaceful life has many components that must be taken into account. 'Peaceful life has many parts of the reality of peace. [...] If I am like on the frontline, I will not be able to work in the industry. I will not be able to fill the budget because I simply... well, my hands are freezing, I cannot work,' he explained. The philosopher also noted that in wartime, the notion of the rear as a separate reality is gradually disappearing: 'So the idea that the rear is a different reality starts to diminish in the reality of war, diminish until it is completely erased.'
The Impact of War on Society and the Economy
Thus, the interview with Sergiy Datsyuk emphasizes the complexity and multifaceted impact of war on Ukrainian society, the economy, and legal aspects related to the return of territories.
The importance of this interview lies in the fact that it highlights the impact of war on all aspects of the lives of Ukrainians, from psychological to economic. In conditions of constant threat and propaganda, the perception of peaceful life and the rear changes, which may have long-term consequences for the country's recovery and development. Understanding these processes is critically important for forming adequate strategies for supporting both the front and the rear in wartime. Supporting the economy and social infrastructure becomes crucial not only for survival but also for ensuring stability in the future.
