Hieromonk Nestor Medvedchuk Switches to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine

According to Главком: Hieromonk Nestor Medvedchuk has departed from the clergy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church under the Moscow Patriarchate and has affiliated with the Mukachevo-Carpathian Diocese of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. This move followed a meeting on June 9 with Bishop Viktor Bed of Mukachevo and the Carpathians. After an interview and a review of his personal file, the bishop decided to accept the hieromonk into the diocese’s clergy. During his switch, Medvedchuk declared his departure from the Moscow Patriarchate’s clergy and formally requested enrollment in the Mukachevo-Carpathian Diocese of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.

Growing Momentum in Religious Communities’ Transfers
