Banks Massively Block Accounts of Ukrainians: Trigger Words in Payments Identified

Furthermore, formulations in the payment purpose such as 'for crypto' or 'currency exchange' can also raise suspicion in the bank.

According to materials from 'Telegraph', banks in Ukraine have started to massively block citizens' accounts due to the use of certain 'trigger' words in the payment purpose. The National Bank of Ukraine has adopted resolution No. 65 on financial monitoring, which gives financial institutions the right to analyze transactions, block, and even close clients' accounts.
