Lubny Resident Convicted in Terrorism Case
According to Главком: A court has sentenced a woman from Lubny to 15 years in prison with asset forfeiture for collaborating with Russian intelligence and planning a terrorist attack in the Poltava region. Recruited via Telegram in March 2025, she was found guilty of gathering intelligence on targets in Kyiv and Poltava Oblast.
As part of the plot, she photographed a military installation and railway infrastructure, passing the data to the enemy for payment. She agreed to carry out an attack in her hometown, renting an apartment and assembling an improvised explosive device. For planting the device, she was promised $1,000. Law enforcement foiled the attack before it could be executed and arrested the woman.
In court, she fully confessed, stating she 'didn't watch the news.' Separately, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) prevented a series of bombings in Kharkiv, detaining an FSB agent who was preparing multiple explosions.

This case highlights the dangers posed by collaboration with hostile intelligence services and the proactive efforts of Ukrainian authorities to counter terrorism. Preventing such attacks is a critical part of national security, and this arrest underscores the ongoing work of law enforcement to identify and neutralize potential threats before they can cause harm.
