The TV presenter urged to redirect attention to thousands of war-injured heroes

According to glavcom.ua: TV presenter Konstantin Grubich, whose son recently lost an arm in the war, addressed Ukrainians with a call to redirect the flow of sympathy and support from public stories to thousands of 'quiet' heroes injured by the war. He emphasized that the tragedy of his son, Yaroslav Grubich, is just one of the thousands of horrific realities that Ukraine is experiencing. This was reported by 'Glavkom' citing Konstantin Grubich.

«The tragedy with Yaroslav Grubich is not a sensation. It is a terrible routine. Mentioning 'the son of a famous TV presenter' in the media is natural. But the insane number of publications about our specific tragedy can ultimately offend thousands of other war-injured heroes who are the sons or daughters of non-public figures, but ordinary farmers, workers, entrepreneurs, and people of other professions,» – wrote Konstantin Grubich.

He called attention to the unknown defenders he saw dozens of in a hospital ward over just a few days. Grubich noted that Ukrainian medical institutions are crowded with wounded individuals who have lost arms, legs, and suffered other bodily injuries.

«Not everyone has relatives visiting, not everyone feels the support of thousands of people, as happened with my son. This is where it hurts for me; I feel almost ashamed of the little Herostratus fame that accompanies our family for several days,» – the presenter shared.

Call to citizenship and support

That’s why he asked all concerned people to 'redirect the flow of kindness' from his son to the unknown victims of the enemy who have lost arms, legs, or suffered various injuries.

«No addresses are needed here. You will definitely find such people in every city of our suffering country. These patients need your participation! Don’t be afraid to look at the injuries; look straight into their eyes! They are the best people of Ukraine,» – Grubich emphasized.

He urged Ukrainians to be creative and find a way to 'delicately gift bananas, cutlets, or broth to a stranger's son or daughter, father or mother, who cannot wait for a visit from close relatives due to the war.'

During the war, most attention is usually paid to the expenses, experiences, and stories of celebrities. However, TV presenter Konstantin Grubich urged Ukrainians to redirect their attention to the homeless and 'quiet' heroes injured by the war, who remain outside societal attention. Underrated wounded defenders need compassion and help just as much as famous personalities.
