According to hvylya.net: The Government of the Russian Federation has adopted a new resolution that actually strengthens censorship and isolates citizens from global networks. Starting from March 1, 2026, 'Roskomnadzor' receives additional powers to block websites and even disconnect the Russian internet from the global network.
Experts argue that the true aim of these actions by the Kremlin is to create a closed network that the authorities can control and monitor the information coming to the population. This step will allow the government to reduce the influence of external sources on Russians and use the internet as a tool for internal propaganda and control.
