Trump Administration's Military Strikes

According to Главком: During its tenure, the administration of Donald Trump authorized military strikes against seven countries, including new targets such as Iran, Nigeria, and Venezuela. In 2025 alone, the number of individual airstrikes exceeded the total conducted by the Biden administration over four years. This aggressive posture is part of a broader shift in U.S. foreign policy strategy. One of its most significant campaigns was Operation 'Epic Fury,' a major action against Iran launched without congressional approval, which resulted in the deaths of three U.S. service members on its first day.

Operation 'Epic Fury'

Operation 'Epic Fury' was a joint campaign with Israel against Iran, accompanied by the largest military buildup in the Middle East since 2003. The initial attacks eliminated Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and dozens of top officials. In response, Iran targeted U.S. allies in the region with missiles and drones, signaling a dangerous escalation of the conflict. On February 28, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced a 'preemptive strike' against Iran, followed by a series of explosions in Tehran. Commenting on the situation, Donald Trump stated:

'I once again call on the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Iran's military police, to lay down their arms and receive full immunity or face certain death. It will be certain death. It will not be pretty.'

Trump's actions caused a rift among his supporters, including prominent isolationists like Tucker Carlson and figures within his own circle who had previously opposed war with Iran, such as Vice President Vance and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Hubbard. This internal division highlights the complex and often contradictory nature of U.S. foreign policy positions. The escalation of military action against Iran under Trump marks a significant departure from previous approaches and has sparked debate about the future of American interventionism, a debate likely to influence the political landscape ahead of upcoming elections.
