Правоохоронці Києва затримали чоловіка, який торгував автомобілями, призначеними для допомоги Збройним силам України.

Arrest in Kyiv

According to Главком: A 26-year-old man was taken into custody in Kyiv for selling cars that had been imported as humanitarian assistance for the Ukrainian military. These vehicles, arriving from European Union countries, were specifically intended for defense units. The suspect used social media platforms to find buyers. Law enforcement officials documented the sale of four vehicles:

  • Audi A6
  • Mercedes-Benz
  • Skoda Octavia
  • SsangYong

for which he received $17,000. The arrest occurred while he was still at the scene, immediately after the transaction was completed and the payment was collected.

Pre-Trial Investigation

Authorities have launched a pre-trial investigation into this case. In addition, law enforcement dismantled another scheme in the Kyiv region involving two men aged 35 and 38. Meanwhile, in Kyiv, a 47-year-old woman was also detained on suspicion of involvement in similar crimes.

It is worth noting that law enforcement agencies continue to monitor the situation closely and are taking steps to prevent such offenses in the future.

This incident highlights the issue of misuse of humanitarian aid arriving in Ukraine during wartime. Selling vehicles meant to support the military not only jeopardizes security but also undermines the effectiveness of assistance provided for the country’s defense.

Law enforcement bodies are actively responding to such cases, demonstrating their readiness to combat corruption and abuse in times of crisis.

This recent arrest in Kyiv draws attention to the broader issue of criminal activities linked to humanitarian aid. Similar incidents have been reported, such as the case of a foreign national detained for setting fire to vehicles commissioned by Russia. These events underscore the urgent need for vigilance in protecting aid efforts during times of crisis.
