According to Главком: Asan Dzhemilev, the elder brother of Crimean Tatar leader Mustafa Dzhemilev, has died in Russian-occupied Crimea on April 4. He was 89 years old. Dzhemilev passed away in Bakhchysarai, where his funeral is scheduled to take place on April 5.

Refat Chubarov, a prominent political figure, expressed his deep condolences to Asan Dzhemilev's family and loved ones, stating:

'The exact time and location for the janazah (funeral prayer), which will be held tomorrow in Bakhchysarai, will be announced separately.' Refat Chubarov
