According to glavcom.ua: Fake messages about emergency power outages across the country are spreading on social media, including Telegram channels, reports 'Glavcom'.

The Ministry of Energy emphasizes that these fakes with manipulative graphics and the official logo of the ministry are designed to deceive citizens. Power outage schedules are published only on the websites of regional energy companies.

The department notes that if you come across a message urging you to subscribe to an unknown Telegram channel to learn the details of the outage – this is a sign of fraud and possibly part of a Russian information-psychological operation. 'Cunning scribblers are trying to increase the audience of their channels by sharing fake news,' the agency emphasizes.

Reaction to the Russian military's attack

On the night of October 5, Russian troops launched an attack on civilian gas infrastructure facilities in Ukraine. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reported that the aggressor used over 50 missiles and 500 strike drones.

The result of this attack was damage in Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zaporizhzhia, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, Odesa, and Kirovohrad regions. As a result of the attack, five people died, and ten were injured.

Zelensky expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and condemned Russia's aggression, emphasizing the targeted damage to the infrastructure that ensures the normal life of people.

In Ukraine, fake information about mass power outages is spreading, aimed at deceiving citizens. The Ministry of Energy emphasizes that official data on outage schedules is published only on the websites of regional energy companies. It is also noted that the spread of such fake messages may be part of an information-psychological operation aimed at misleading citizens and increasing the audience of certain media resources.

At the same time, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the new attack by Russian troops on civilian gas infrastructure facilities. According to him, the aggressor used more than 50 missiles and 500 strike drones, causing damage in several regions of Ukraine and resulting in casualties. Zelensky expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and emphasized the inadmissibility of such attacks aimed at harming infrastructure that ensures the normal functioning of the country.
