According to glavcom.ua: As tensions rise with Russia, more and more Poles are joining military training. For instance, office worker Agnieszka Jedruszak chose a training ground in Braniewo for her training and plans to use South Korean K-2 tanks alongside professionals.

“I will do everything to protect my child. And I will definitely fight,” Jedruszak declared resolutely.

According to Colonel Grzegorz Wawrzynkiewicz, over 20,000 Poles signed up for voluntary courses in the first seven months of 2025, but this number could double by the end of the year. This approach helps ensure Polish reserve forces to support the defense strategy.

Volunteer Training and U.S. Response

According to Reuters, volunteers train alongside professionals but are not part of the regular troops. This allows for the creation of effective reserve forces and aids in the implementation of Poland's defense strategy.

“During war or threat, the most important things are: fuel, ammunition, and people,” emphasized Polish Deputy Minister of Defense Cezary Tomczak.

Dorota Shi emphasized that the U.S. stands ready to defend NATO territory and support its allies. In turn, Bosacki noted that the intrusion of Russian drones into Poland's airspace was deliberate and violates the country's sovereignty.

Poles are increasingly preparing for potential threats from Russia, participating in military training as volunteers. This helps create sizable reserve forces and ensure readiness to support the country's defense strategy. The U.S. response to the potential threat also indicates a willingness to support its allies if necessary.
