Ukrainian Drone Strikes on Russian Industrial Targets

According to ХВИЛЯ: In the early hours of April 26, Ukrainian drones successfully hit strategic sites inside Russia. Among the targets were the Slavneft-YANOS oil refinery in Yaroslavl-partly owned by Rosneft and Gazprom-and an ammonia production facility in the Vologda region. A strike was also recorded in Michurinsk, located in the Tambov region. These attacks mark a continued campaign against key Russian infrastructure far from the front lines.

The Slavneft-YANOS refinery stands as the largest petroleum processing plant in Russia's Central Federal District and ranks among the country's top five refineries. It sits roughly 16 kilometers from Leningradsky Prospekt to the plant in Yaroslavl. Notably, this facility was previously hit on the night of March 28.

Attack on the Vologda Region Plant

In the Vologda region, Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles struck the Cherepovets branch of Apatit JSC, which operates Europe's largest ammonia production facility. Governor Filimonov of the Vologda region reported damage to a high-pressure pipeline carrying sulfuric acid at the Ammonia-3 nitrogen complex. Five people sustained sulfuric acid burns in the attack and were hospitalized, with one victim in serious condition.

A prior assault on this same Vologda region plant occurred on April 13. Russia's Defense Ministry claimed to have destroyed 203 drones overnight across various Russian regions and occupied Crimea. Meanwhile, the Gorky oil pumping station in the Nizhny Novgorod region continues to burn following a Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) strike on April 23.
