The rules clearly define who has the right to wear military clothing, including servicemen, cadets of military schools, reservists, and others. Violations are punishable by fines ranging from 2550 to 3400 hryvnias and confiscation of the uniform. Repeated offenses incur even harsher consequences.

  • As noted by the police: 'In the case of repeated violations within a year, the fine increases to 6800 hryvnias, or community service may be assigned for 30-40 hours.'

The law enforcement authorities have the right to check the documents of individuals in military uniforms and draw up protocols upon discovering violations to protect Ukrainian state symbols and monuments of defenders.

Fines for traffic violations and gambling

According to recent changes in legislation, the fines for violations of the Traffic Rules in Ukraine remain unchanged. Speeding, running a red light, and other offenses are subject to certain fines.

Citizens can also pay an administrative fine for violations in the area of passport control. For example, failing to timely paste a photo into a passport book may result in a fine of up to 51 hryvnias.

Violations of military uniform use in Ukraine carry serious sanctions, including significant fines and confiscation of uniforms. Legislation clearly defines who has the right to wear military uniforms, and law enforcement agencies have the right to check documents and punish violators. Such measures are intended to protect Ukrainian symbols and the monuments of national heroes.
