Ukrainians aged 65+ expect an increase in pension: who will receive more
After reaching 65 years old, some Ukrainian pensioners may receive enhanced payments. The recalculation is done automatically; however, only those citizens who are not officially employed can benefit from it. This is stated by Radio Trek.
The increase applies to several types of pensions and does not require submitting applications or contacting the Pension Fund. The system automatically updates the amount of payments after reaching the appropriate age.
Pensions of Ukrainians after 65 years: who will have their pensions recalculated
The automatic recalculation applies to the following types of pensions:

pension by age
-
pension in case of loss of breadwinner
-
pension for length of service.
An important condition is that the pensioner must not be working. If a person is officially employed or engaged in entrepreneurship, the increase will only be calculated after they cease their work activities.
At the same time, legislation stipulates that the minimum pension for citizens aged 65 and over cannot be lower than the subsistence minimum for non-working individuals. In 2026, its amount may increase together with the increase in minimum wage.
Payments to pensioners by age: what supplements are provided
For older pensioners, age supplements are also available, which are calculated monthly.
The amount of supplements is:

from 70 to 75 years - 300 UAH

from 75 to 80 years - 456 UAH

after 80 years - 570 UAH
These payments are calculated proportionally to the days after reaching the appropriate age. At the same time, supplements are not granted if the total pension exceeds 10,340 UAH.
The recalculation procedure occurs automatically based on the data from government registers, without the need to personally contact the Pension Fund.
