Ukrainians will learn who views their data: notifications are being launched in Diia
According to glavcom.ua: Ukrainians will have the opportunity to find out who and for what purpose views their data in state registries. It has been reported that the Ministry of Digital Transformation will launch notifications in the Diia app, so that everyone can understand who has access to their personal information.
“We will soon launch notifications in Diia so that you can see who and for what reason viewed information in the registries. The government has adopted a resolution that launches a subsystem for monitoring access to data in Trembita,” says the agency's press service.
Now every person will receive a notification if someone views their data. This new system will record every interaction with the information, except in cases related to criminal investigations or counter-terrorism.
“For example, when applying for a service, a government agency needs your data – an employee makes a request in the registry. Trembita will record this fact – and you will receive a notification in Diia with all the details: who, when, and why,” the message states.
Updated rules for data access for the development of a digital state
In addition, the government has developed a resolution aimed at updating and simplifying the rules for access to open data. This step will become an important basis for the development of a digital state, which is based on transparency and accountability.
The new rules provide for the collection of the most important data in a single registry, which will allow citizens, businesses, and civil society organizations to find the necessary information for analysis, service development, and monitoring government activities more quickly and conveniently.
