Ukraine changes the payment system: who will stop receiving social assistance

According to hvylya.net: The Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine has made important changes to the social benefits system. Now the state will focus on targeted support for those citizens who genuinely need help, instead of general distribution of funds.

The main principle of the reform is to stop the excessive distribution of funds and ensure that every hryvnia of public money reaches those who really need it.

The new system involves a comprehensive assessment of the financial situation of applicants, taking into account their incomes, property status, family situation, and other criteria. Special attention is paid to changes for internally displaced persons: if such a person has been abroad for more than 90 days, their social benefits may be suspended or canceled, so that assistance is provided only to those displaced individuals who are actually in Ukraine and need help.

The initiative of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine is aimed at improving the process of providing social benefits and ensuring citizens receive real, necessary help in difficult life situations. The new rules are focused on a more effective and transparent social security system that will support those who truly need it.
