Poland Emerges as Top Buyer of Ukrainian Condensed Milk in 2025
Ukrainian Dairy Exports in 2025
According to Главком: Poland became the leading importer of Ukrainian condensed milk and cream in 2025. Exports of these products from Ukraine surged by 29.5% compared to 2024, reaching a volume of 38.2 thousand tons. The value of condensed milk and cream exports also rose by 30.4%, totaling $96.9 million USD. Poland's share of the export revenue for these goods stands at 16.8%. Germany holds second place with a 13.3% share, and Bulgaria is third with 12.1%.
Exports of Non-Condensed Milk
Conversely, exports of non-condensed milk and cream from Ukraine fell by 17.7%, to 21.9 thousand tons. However, the value of these non-condensed exports increased slightly by 1.1%, to $17.8 million USD. Moldova was the primary market for non-condensed milk, accounting for 91.3% of the export revenue. Georgia and Armenia took second and third places with shares of 2.9% and 2.6%, respectively.
Therefore, 2025 was marked by significant growth in Ukrainian condensed milk and cream exports, particularly to Poland, while exports of non-condensed milk declined. This trend highlights the shifting dynamics within the European dairy market, where processed products are gaining strong traction.
These shifts in export patterns indicate growing demand for dairy products in Poland, which may be linked to a recovery in regional consumption following recent economic challenges.
The drop in non-condensed milk exports points to potential market difficulties, including competitive pressures and changes in consumer preferences. Monitoring future trends in agricultural trade is crucial, as they can impact Ukraine's economic situation and its trade relationships with partners.
