Wet snow and frost will come to Ukraine on October 14: where to expect the cold snap

On October 14, a sharp change in weather with the first signs of the winter season is expected in Ukraine. The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center warns of wet snow in the northern regions and ground frost.

Wind conditions will remain stable - the prevailing northwestern wind will blow at a speed of 7-12 meters per second.

The temperature regime shows significant fluctuations. Nighttime temperatures will range from 1 to 6 degrees Celsius. At the same time, in the southern, central, eastern regions, and in Sumy region, meteorologists record ground frost from 0 to 3 degrees below zero. Daytime temperatures will fluctuate between 5-10 degrees Celsius, while in the south and southeast of the country, the air temperature will warm up to 9-14 degrees.

In Kyiv region and the capital, weather conditions will correspond to the general scientific scenario. It will be cloudy with clearings, at night light rain locally with wet snow, during the day - locally light precipitation. The wind will be northwestern, 7-12 meters per second. The temperature in the region at night will be 1-6 degrees Celsius, during the day - 5-10 degrees. In Kyiv, nighttime temperatures will remain at 3-5 degrees Celsius, daytime temperatures - 7-9 degrees.
