'Ukrzaliznytsia' launched a direct train Kyiv – Bucharest: route, schedule, and ticket prices

Despite massive attacks on Ukrainian civilian infrastructure, on October 10, 'Ukrzaliznytsia' ('UZ') successfully launched the new train No. 99/100 Kyiv – Bucharest (Romania). This was reported by Oleksiy Kuleba, the Minister for Communities and Territories Development, noting that the first hundred passengers embarked on the inaugural journey. The new service will operate daily, providing passengers with direct connectivity between the capitals of Ukraine and Romania.

Schedule and route of the new service

Train No. 99/100 will pass through several major cities in Ukraine, ensuring convenience for passengers from various regions.

Key route parameters:

  • Route in Ukraine: Kyiv – Vinnytsia – Zhmerinka – Mohyliv-Podilskyi.

  • Border control: Will take place at Velchynets and Ungheni stations.

  • Arrival point in Romania: Bucharest Central Station – Gara de Nord.

Train No. 99/100 Kyiv – Bucharest schedule

  1. From Kyiv to Bucharest:

    • Departure: from the Central Station at 06:30.

    • Arrival: in Bucharest at 06:47 the next day.

  2. From Bucharest to Kyiv:

    • Departure: from Gara de Nord station at 19:10.

    • Arrival: in Kyiv – at 19:34 the next day.

Ticket prices and purchase

Only compartment cars are available for passengers. The ticket price in a compartment car is approximately 3800 hryvnias.

Tickets for the new international service can be purchased now. Tickets are available for sale:

  • In the mobile application.

  • On the official 'Ukrzaliznytsia' website.
