Ukraine's U-17s Launch Euro 2026 Preparations
According to Главком: Ukraine's U-17 national team will commence its preparations for Euro 2026 with a training camp in Croatia, scheduled from February 8 to 16, 2026. This camp is a crucial phase in the team's build-up for the second qualification round, set for June 2026. During their stay, the Ukrainian side will participate in an international tournament, facing the national teams of Greece, Israel, and Croatia.
Head coach Oleksandr Sytnyk has selected a 22-player squad to form the core of the team for the tournament. The match schedule is as follows:
- February 11, 2026 - Ukraine vs. Greece
- February 13 - vs. Israel
- February 16 - vs. Croatia
This tournament serves as a key preparatory step for the second round of Euro 2026 qualifying, where Ukraine will compete in League B, Group 6 against Latvia and Albania. The group stage matches will be held in Albania from June 3 to 9, 2026.
World Championship Preparations
In addition to the European Championship, the youth squad is also preparing for the World Cup qualification play-offs. On March 26, 2026, Ukraine will meet Sweden in a semi-final, with the winner advancing to a final against the victor of the Poland vs. Albania match.
